Is there any way to delete or hide all of your previous Facebook statuses?

I just went through a breakup, and I'm trying to refine my image and Facebook page in gneral. Is there any way I can delete all of my Facebook statuses or even wall posts too without disabling my wall completely? I just want to trash all of the old posts but want people to able to write on my wall in the future. Is this possible?
