Did Biden's attack on McCain suprise you since in 2004, he urged Kerry to chose McCain over himself for VP?

I saw it on MSN yesterday. I remember when Kerry was considering McCain for VP and McCain turned him down, and Biden had put McCain off to Kerry as "the better choice." Does this surprise you?
