If someone calls 911 and says you committed a crime, which you did'nt can you sue them for slander?

Some @sshole called 911 gave them the number on my car's licence plate and said I had pushed someone out of a moving car ( this did not happen in real life ). This retarded cop arrested me because he believed I did this. Can I sue the @sshole for slander?
