PH of hydrochloric acid vs. pH of acetic acid?
The pH of 0.1 M HCl would be much lower than the pH of 0.1 M CH3COOH because HCl is a strong acid which means it completely dissociates into H+/H3O+ ions. CH3COOH is a weak acid so it barely dissociates into H+/H3O+ ions.
